What is the McSpadden County Fair?!

Founded in 2016, the McSpadden County Fair is an annual, volunteer-run, free community event held each September at McSpadden Park (2125 Victoria Drive) in East Vancouver. This beloved neighbourhood tradition features local artisans, live music, food trucks, community information booths on urban agriculture and sustainable living, and the event’s signature attraction: the legendary East Van Zucchini Races, where participants design and race zucchini vehicles down a ramp in pursuit of glory. 100% funded by the generosity of local businesses and organizations, the Fair is committed to promoting community development, supporting urban agriculture and sustainable living, providing inclusive family-focused activities, and revitalizing county fair traditions while celebrating the diversity of urban living.

MCSPADDEN COUNTY FAIR  was created to bring community together.

The Fair highlights local vendors, information booths on urban agriculture, and sustainable living, food trucks, entertainment, various competitions, and of course the

EAST VAN ZUCCHINI RACES!

The McSpadden County Fair has quickly become a community tradition not to be missed, with an estimated 1500 neighbours getting out to enjoy the event in 2025.

We are volunteer run and 100% funded by the generosity of local businesses and organizations.

the McSpadden Flying Zucchini Society acknowledges that we live and learn on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional lands of the Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish peoples. We pay our respects to ancestors and Elders, both past, present, and emerging.

We acknowledge the deep
spiritual attachment and relationship of the First Nations peoples and commit ourselves to the ongoing journey of Reconciliation.

Our Goals are simple…

To promote community development through education, entertainment, and support of local business.

To support and promote urban agriculture and sustainable healthy living.

To be inclusive of diverse communities, and provide accessibility for all.

To provide family focused activities and entertainment.

To revitalize the traditions of county fairs and blend them with the diversity of urban living.

We are proud to partner with amazing local businesses.
