The MCSPADDEN FLYING ZUCCHINI SOCIETY is a locally run, not-for-profit society with a focus on community connection, engagement and education.
Founded in 2020 by a small group of East Van residents (the same fine folks who have brought you the annual McSpadden County Fair), the McSpadden Flying Zucchini Society is setting aim on new and exciting ways to be connected and celebrate our amazing community.
If you have ideas or want to get involved, please contact us at flyingzucchinisociety@gmail.com
Our Goals are simple…
To promote community development through education, entertainment, and support of local business.
To support and promote urban agriculture and sustainable healthy living.
To be inclusive of diverse communities, and provide accessibility for all.
To provide family focused activities and entertainment.
To revitalize the traditions of county fairs and blend them with the diversity of urban living.
McSpadden Park and the McSpadden County Fair event are located on the stolen traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations
