2021 has already been quite the year, but we are keeping our fingers and toes crossed for a roaring party in September.  We will keep you posted as things start to shift, but for now, rest assured we are working hard on the most amazing McSpadden County Fair ever!!!

Monica Lee

Vancouver musician, mother, curious musicologist and advocate of flavour, Monica Lee will bring us fun, interactive songs from her Jump Into Music program. We are very excited that Monica will also return as MC of our Zucchini Races!

Professor Banjo

Paul Silveria is a musician, songwriter, dance caller, and community organizer who engages audiences of all ages with interactive old-time music and dance!


Carnival Band

The Carnival Band is a community music project with ten years of history, based out of Commercial Drive’s Britannia Community Centre.  We believe that community music is grounded in collaboration, with the aim of empowering the individuals involved. 


Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret

The Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret is a non profit society dedicated to creating and supporting original work of physical theatre in stages both traditional and site specific.


Robin Layne

Juno nominated percussionist Robin Layne has worked with many of Canada's finest global artists and toured throughout China, Europe, Mexico, US and Canada. Join him and his students for a workshop and performance

Kitsilano Neighborhood House 

Community Leader Faith Greer, in conjunction with the Kitsilano Neighborhood House, has created a library of "Story Walks" featuring local Indigenous stories for us all to share.  Take a self led stroll through the quieter areas of the fair and enjoy beautiful stories written by incredible artists


Griottes Polyglottes

Ingrid Broussillion is a French language storyteller. In 2018 she founded Griottes Polyglottes who lead acting, improvisation and storytelling classes in French for adults and kids!

The Local Open Access Fridge (LOAF for short!) pilot project is a grassroots community initiative in Vancouver BC. That aims to organize a community-maintained fridge and pantry offer easily accessible, free and healthy food to all community members.

A Healthy Beginning offers handmade natural home and body care products. They also provide green-proofing services to help create cleaner, greener homes and workplaces.

Red Fox Healthy Living Society is a registered non-profit Society and Charity that serves Indigenous and inner-city children, youth, and families. Their 

recreation, food, and cultural programs foster healthy, active living, leadership, and employment training.

Vancouver Tool Library

The Vancouver Tool Library is a cooperative tool lending library in East Vancouver.



Megaphone creates meaningful work for people experiencing poverty and homelessness. They 

produce a high-quality magazine and annual calendar that benefits low-income and homeless vendors.

Cedar Cottage Food Network

The Cedar Cottage Food Network Society (CCFN) is an independent, non-profit organization working toward more sustainable and just food systems at the neighbourhood level. 



We offer package-free and low-waste groceries and household supplies, delivered right to your door using returnable containers. We are champions of the circular economy and against single-use, throwaway culture.


Fruit Tree Project

We’re a grassroots organization and registered charity focused on picking backyard fruit trees in Vancouver with a dedicated team of volunteers.



Kickstand is a volunteer-run cycling and recycling resource center, located in East Vancouver. A non-profit society, we provide a low-barrier and affordable workspace to anyone interested in repairing or working on their bike.
